Welcome to the roomsncovers blog!  I will be your guide to all things patio covers and patio enclosures.  I have decided to try and get information about our industry out into the internet space with regular posts on different topics related to our business…SHADE!

Seriously, we get many, many questions when when we visit customers, and I thought this would be an excellent place to put the answers.  Our company website, roomsncovers.com, has a wealth of information on the products we sell, and I’d like to invite you to visit.

This blog, however, will cover a wide range of specific topics brought about from questions that we’ve been asked both during visits to our showroom and presentations in the home.  Some examples might be…”Do I need a permit for a patio cover?” (probably…) or “Can I build it myself?” (possibly…)

I’m planning product spotlights and comparisons (flatpan versus IRP, anyone?), technical info (just how big does that footing need to be, and why?), and lots and lots of Q&A about the industry in general.  Some of the posts will be full of detail, and some may just be a photo of a nice job we just finished installing.

We’ll have links to companies who provide both the products themselves, as well as accessories for your outdoor living space.
